What I Love (Advent Edition)

It’s no secret to those who know me, just how much I love Winter Holiday stories—be it Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Yule… whatever… I love the happy, sweet feel of them. Because truthfully, there’s nothing better on a cold day than to sit in front of the fire and read a happy ending Smile

So now, at the beginning of December, I thought I’d share with some of my favorite Advent stories.

Marcus Gardner wasn’t always a lumberjack—once a high-powered Minneapolis lawyer, he’s come home to Logan to lick his wounds, not play with a sassy city twink who might as well have stepped directly out of his past. But as the northwinds blow and guards come down, Frankie and Marcus find they have a lot more in common than they don’t. Could the man who won’t live in the country and the man who won’t go back to the city truly find a home together? Now transformed, he’s drawn back by the memory and promise of the dominant couple he left behind. Laura and Scott are still together, and as the year draws to a close, they explore old feelings and new ones as they discover they’ve all been waiting for Zach to come home.

Kim Dare, “His Very Last Chance”

Drew screwed up. So when his master, Kingsley, summons him on New Year’s Eve, he knows he deserves the punishment in store for him. Everything changed for Kingsley when he overheard Drew running his mouth to his friends on Boxing Day. Now, there’s only one way he can possibly ring in the New Year: starting over fresh, either with an ending or a new beginning.

Katie Porter, “Fireworks”

Rachel’s job is taking her to Tokyo, which means leaving behind her lover and submissive, Emma. Joey W. Hill, “Submissive Angel”
